FACIAL TREATMENTS

What do I need to know before my first facial?

The most important thing to know is you’re going to get the opportunity to relax! For best results, think about what your objective is and be ready to communicate that to your esthetician. Knowing key ingredients in your current skincare products will also help your esthetician advise any changes that should be made. Are you looking for anti-aging results? Do you have acne you would like to clear up? During your consultation, your esthetician will help you pinpoint exactly what type of facial you need, based on your objectives.

What is the best facial treatment for aging skin?

It depends on your specific aging concern… Dermaplane, Dermafile and Microdermabrasion will exfoliate dead skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, among other benefits. Microneedling will stimulate collagen to improve skin’s elasticity. Peels can help lighten and brighten skin.

Our Elite Plus facial incorporates 1-2 of these treatments and is a great solution to getting started turning back the clock! Our Estheticians can customize a treatment plan for your specific concerns during your first treatment.

How often should I get a facial?

Monthly facials are ideal because the outermost layer of visible skin will completely renew itself approximately every 28 days. In this time your skin cells are constantly being replicated from the treated cells to replace the old cells. If you commit to monthly facials, your skin cells will begin to replicate the now healthier cells, giving you an overall better complexion.

Is there any treatment I can not do while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Any form of peels, high frequency, microneedling are advised against while pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to become pregnant.

What age should you get a facial?

Facials benefit all adults, men and women! Teens can also benefit as their skin starts to change and can get a facial as early as 13 years old with a parent’s consent.

What is the best facial for hormonal acne?

Our Elite Facial would be best so our esthetician can customize a facial to treat the hormonal acne with our Eminence Organics Eight Greens line which is specifically designed to treat hormonal imbalance skin.

CHEMICAL PEELS

Clients with hyperpigmentation, concerns about aging, and acne scarring would benefit from a chemical peel.

Can you see results after only one chemical peel?

Yes. After one peel, you will see brighter, tighter, younger looking skin. Depending on your skincare concerns, a series of peels may be beneficial.

Is chemical peeling safe for skin?

Yes, if you are a suitable candidate and have no contraindications. Your Esthetician will help you determine what is best for your skin. We always start clients with a Vitamin C Enzyme peel to see how their skin reacts before moving to more aggressive chemical peels.

Does a chemical peel remove dark spots?

In most cases it can help improve the pigmentation of dark spots, depending on the skin tone.

Can chemical peels remove scars?

Atrophic scarring or surgical scarring cannot be removed by chemical peels, only hyperpigmentation scarring can be improved.

How do chemical peels work?

The procedure chemically exfoliates and dehydrates several layers of the outermost skin to flake off and reveal healthy, radiant skin. Some clients see skin actually peel off while others do not notice it. In both cases skin cells have been turned over to reveal new, younger looking skin.

MICRODERMABRASION

What are the benefits of microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a form of deep exfoliation that will help deep clean the pores and will remove any dry, flaky skin cells, revealing more radiant, younger looking skin. Following microdermabrasion, treatment products and at-home skincare will work quicker and more effectively.

Professional dermaplaning removes multiple layers of dead skin cells off of the outermost layer of the skin; hair removal is a byproduct of the process not the focus. A sterile implement, not a razor, is used in this procedure.

MICRONEEDLING

What does microneedling do for your skin?

Microneedling is a state of the art procedure that stimulates your skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen. New collagen production can reverse years of sun damage, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, change skin tone and texture, reduce appearance of acne scars, hyperpigmentation, as well as enhance the overall appearance of the skin.

How long does it take to see results from microneedling?
You can expect to see results after two to three weeks, as new collagen continues to form.

No direct sunlight for three days after the procedure and no swimming for 24 hours after the procedure. It is recommended, if possible, to not wear makeup for up to three days after the procedure.
